Klaas is a German DJ and producer from Cologne, Germany. Hardly any other producer managed to position himself on top of the world’s DJ Elite in such a short amount of time and no one influenced the global electro- house sound as Klaas.

One of his latest singles „OK Without You“ surpassed 50 million total streams on YouTube and 65 million on Spotify.
“Close To You” had officially 20 M hits, and from his humble breakout, Klaas has since amassed more than 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He reached more than 200 million streams per year.

Who Is Klaas?

Klaas Gerling (born January 3, 1981), simply known as Klaas. He has remixed songs for Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (2016), DJ Antoine, Stromae, Armand Van Helden and Eric Morillo. He is best known for his remix of "Infinity" by Guru Josh, which peaked 1st on the Belgian chart and 2nd on the Dutch chart in 2008. Producing Infinity 2008 (Klaas Vocal Edit) resulted in Gold, Silver and Platinum records in many countries.

Early Career

Raised in Cologne, Klaas was exposed to music at a young age. He first played drums in various local bands. His early passion for electro dance music turned out to become the foundation for Klaas’ career that encouraged him doing remixes, first with “Micha Moors – Space”. Klaas’ remixes became famous all over the world and weren’t just highly successful within the German Dance Charts and Beatport during several weeks, he was also supported by well-known DJs such as Tiesto, David Guetta and Moby.

The 2007 released Klaas single „The Way” was a great opportunity for him to show his diversity in production innovation in the electro house scene. It climbed from 0 to #2 of the German Dance Charts within the first week and stayed in top 10 for several weeks of all relevant dance charts. The ensuing release „Klaas meets Haddaway – What Is Love 2K9” stormed the top 10 of numerous Dance Charts. His own release "Our Own Way" reached in 2009 the top 10 in France. 

2013 Klaas collaborated with Kim Petras (2023 Grammy-winning singer) on the songs "Heartbeat" and "Flight To Paris".

Tying up with his long range of productions a year later, Klaas dropped “Party Like We’re Animals”.

End of 2014, Klaas would then team up with the Swiss newcomer Mazza and present his single „Here We Go“, which made it in the first week in the podcasts and sets of famous DJs such as Hardwell and Showtek, that took on Klaas’ production at the “Tomorrow Land“ festival.

Since 2016 Klaas is collaborating with Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and MATTN to produce remakes of past club hits such as "Ocarina", "Cafe Del Mar" and "Universal Nation", “The Chase”.

Gold, Silver and Platinum

“Infinity 2008” resulted in Gold, Silver and Platinum records in Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark and Norway. And yes, he did it again! Ten years after his world hit remix of Infinity 2008 his remake "Sean Finn X Guru Josh - Infinity 2018 (Klaas Remix)" reached high positions in the iTunes charts of 5 countries (#9 in Germany). This time however, with the worldwide support of well-known DJs, such as DJs like Dimity Vegas & Like Mike, R3hab, Blasterjaxx, W&W, Mike Candys, Fedde Le Grand and David Guetta! So we look forward to true EDM sound a’ la Klaas´ style! The high demand of world-class DJs for collaboration with talented Klaas resulted in the production of his single “Calavera” reaching the top 4 of the German DJ Playlist, and of course - the famous „DVLM vs Klaas Edit“ of „Cafe Del Mar“ was released in an amazing video on Smash The House Records. Several further collaborations with Dimitri Vegas and his wife MATTN followed.
“Logical Song” together with the Tomorrowland top act MATTN reached 50 million streams in 2023.
After the collaboration with “Londonbeat” the “Klaas Remix” of “Thinking About You” reached #1 in the Billboard Club Charts in July 2019.

Klaas turned into a YouTube- and Spotify-Sensation

The official music video to his 2008 remix of „Guru Josh’s- Infinity”, counts over 200 million views on YouTube and the song reached 400 million streams on Spotify.

In a collaboration with the Bodybangers he landed two more hit singles „Freak“ and „I Like“ which made it not just to the top of all Dance Charts, but also to the German and Austrian Single Charts. Furthermore, the official music videos clocked together over 20 million views on YouTube.
Also one of his latest singles „Ok Without You“ surpassed 50 million total streams on YouTube and reached in 2023 over 65 million streams on Spotify.

Due to its high output of successful own releases and remixes Klaas cracked in September 2020 Spotify the 5 million mark in the monthly listeners and reached more than 200 million streams per year and 1 billion all time streams. That is placing him in 2023 in the top 10 of the most streamed German dance-pop and electronic producers.
